The longest post ever!!
Don’t read if you don’t have time… there is a lot of wisdom in this post :p
Finally after all the extentions, cancellations – im on my way home!! Last few days have been such a blur! Not much aiesec work…
Lucy is a dolll!!!
She took out time to actually take me for the changing of the gaurds! That was soo fun and we were right in front and got tones of pics.. they’ll be up soon!
Ruch is finally having her baby… really want to see it!
The London social was really nice.. we snuk into a dorm to have the party! Was really good ;)
Will miss all the people I’ve met and hung out with!
Can’t wait for all of them to come to India im gonna help as much as I can to get them there..
I really want to see them again
Thing about these international experiences is that you have all the fun as you can, change as many people’s lives, make an impact [try at least] and then leave and never go back ever again! Make friends who will always be there for you even though they are a few thousand miles away, you will always have some one to talk to…
This experience has been amazing, and im happy it ended well.. I still feel there were more things I could have done, but I did as much as I could fit in, I do want to stay for everybody here… but I need to go back, im going to miss everything about London..
Im going to miss the way the tube smelled, the way the shiny steps of the station that always glittered, the blue sky filled with lines streaking across it because of the planes.. the way the water tasted funny to me.. marks and spencers food, people calling me shee-van-gee, watching absolutely no TV, thinking everything is so cheap cuz of the numbers, converting all the currency to figure how expensive it is.. I’ll miss Ruchika! I’ll miss all the LSE people, I’ll miss all the UCL people! Though I hung out with only 2 :P
but this has been perfect, awesome, great, unbelievable and going back is just a way to get over it, it is and end to an amazing episode, I know I may go back there, but I know the people may not be there… I know I may never have the same experience ever again, I know life is never going to be the same again! I know that this is going to the longest post I’ve ever written!!
AIESEC has been a lucky chance… It’s upto me how I use it, There are so many things I want to do, but just like this I have to end every thing in my life feeling happy and fulfilled! Making sure that I’ve impacted somebody, even if it’s just by giving them a document.
I can’t wait to go back and talk about this experience… I do know that people are going to get soo sick of me talking about London.. but im sure everybody here got sick of me talking about Mumbai cuz I missed it soo god damn much!
Some thing im going to remember for my next experience is never ever mention where I’ve come from and never give a comparison unless asked, maybe then I’ll miss it less.
The past few days have made me realize here my life was AIESEC and AIESEC only… I didn’t have non aiesec friends.. I talked AIESEC 24/7, it has totally helped me understand what I want to do… I at least think I have a vague idea! Personally I feel absolutely fulfilled, professionally I know exactly where I stand! Spiritually I know I what I have to do, Physically I know im going to have to work on staying healthier, Academically I can’t wait to finish off what im studying so that I can do what I like.
ADVICE: never ever fly AIR India… EVER!
But im glad I got these 2 extra days.. I made a few more friends… maybe some for life, experienced something that I may never forget, learn’t that there is more then just saying good bye…
AIESEC London even the few extra days were not enough to make me feel accomplished with everything… I know I may never come back, bombay, its not London , but its got its own beautiful charm that is absolutely electrifying… and I can’t wait to smell the hot humid air and go for a swim!
